Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

I took a simple extract recipe for an American Wheat with 6lbs of wheat LME and used Beersmith 2 to convert it to a partial mash.

All it did was drop the LME amount by 0.2 and add 0.2oz of grain.

Am I missing a step?

Hmm, I just messed with it for an Amber Ale, when I clicked convert, it dropped the LME by 1.5 lbs, added in 11.5 oz of 2 row and tweaked the specialty grains a tad.

Did you have "extract" selected for the first recipe...or was the selector already on "partial mash" when you created it?

No your not missing a step. What were you hoping for? Converting a simple American Wheat doesn't make much sense. If you're going to convert it to PM you might as well go AG for that recipe.
