Brown ale fermented for 2 1/2 weeks does this look infected its bubbly and has floaters in it

Agreed. It's just krausen left overs & yeast floaters. Take an FG test,wait 2 days,& check it again. If the numbers match,you win! :mug:
 
I tend to disagree. That looks like the byproduct of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. If you send me some samples (bottled, of course), I will conduct a thorough scientific analysis and report the results to you, free of charge.
