I purchase one of these because I knew one day I will be starting to make wine as well. The one I have I found it very difficult to read the lever indicators unless we shined a flashlight on it from outside the bucket. Also, is their two much headspace in this type of bucket when making 5 to 5.5 gallon batches?
 
No worries on the headspace, I use a 7.9 gal bucket to do 5 & 6 gal batches (primary) all the time, never had any problems. Regards, GF.
