I have been fermenting my IPA brew for one week now and I popped the lid to check it out. I noticed that there was a layer of krausen formed, yet there was also some stuck to the bucket not touching the beer at all. I was wondering if I should knock it off and back into the beer or leave it alone. From what I read the krausen will eventually fall to the bottom? This won't happen with it stuck to the sides.. Just leave it.

We all worried about our first beers. Now we just forget about them for a few weeks, check the gravity, and bottle.

You had fermentation, so it will make beer.
