Hey guys.
I just got done brewing my black lager and wanted to try something new. Something i saw on YouTube.

-As i was bottling my beer i filled a sanitized 1/2 gallon milk jug about 2/3rds full with my beer.
-Froze the jug in my deepfreeze overnight.
-in the morning it was frozen like a slushy, or icee almost.
-as you know the alcohol doesn't freeze so all that is dripping is pretty much pure booze.
-i tipped it on end and filtered it into an old sanitized whiskey bottle.
-after about an hour it slowed to a small drip so i stopped.

The taste is pretty phenomenal. I didn't measure the gravity but it

tastes like a spirit. I will now be doing this for every beer i make.

Does anyone have any experience with this as well or any advice?

Cheers, Aaron.

This is how Brewdog of Scotland makes the tactical nuclear penguin and Sink the Bismarck.
There is a thread about trying to make a 40% ABV beer using the same process but the guy didn't start with a lager. He used a much higher ABV beer to get started.
I wish I had a larger freezer because I really want to try this.
