This is my first shot at building my own bar. I've been looking at all the other builds on here for ideas and designed mine around my basement set up. Just building the skeleton first, but still don't know what I want to use to finish it. I worked until I ran out of wood tonight. More to come tomorrow!

It might not look like much was done tonight but I worked on it for most of the night. The reason was because I disassembled last nights work and lowered the whole top 4" so that took a lot of the time. It's hard when the floor of this old house is sooo uneven. Hopefully finish up a lot of the bar tomorrow night.

Getting closer to the finished product. I have trim that I am going to stain a dark wood color that I think will set it off. I am going to put a thin layer of epoxy over the top so it will be easy to clean off. I'm contemplating putting a door on the end that I don't have finished. It would be a good place to store all of my brewing stuff. What do you guys think, door or finish with the same finished wood I've been using? I also have all the electrical work to do such as installing outlets for the microwave, kegerator, lights, and light switches. Slowly but surely its getting finished.

I know I know...I want more also but I'm waiting to use my dad's air nailer to put on the trim. Once the trim goes on I will put down the surface epoxy. I am done with all the finish boards and the kegerator is up and running. Thanks for following

Had a good working weekend with my dad. Got all the trim on and electrical done. Now all that is left is get the epoxy on, pick up some bar stools, get the door on the end of the bar, and get all the wall hangings up. Hope you like.
