OK, I have my 2 keggles and a 10 gal cooler, I think Im going to use a false bottom for my boil keggle, my question is how does it connect to the nipple I am going to weld in the keggle, and I assume I wont need a false bottom in the other keggle, as im going to use it to heat the water for the mash tun? Thanks.

Assuming the nipple has a 1/2" FPT threading and you have a 3/8" stainless (or copper) dip tube, use a 1/2"MPT-to-3/8" compression fitting. Stable during use, easy to remove for cleaning.

EDIT: and no need for the false bottom in the other keggle (HLT).
