Man, wish I took a "before" pic. My hydrometer test jar has had a nasty grime in the bottom crevices of it for a long time. Can't believe I drank anything out of that.

Anyway, 1/2 scoop of oxyclean for 2 days cleaned it completely and it looks new again. Can't believe I put that off for so long.

Get that test jar clean!

Lol, never thought about it before.....I guess mine's pretty nasty as well. I don't think about it since it never actually comes in contact with the beer in the fermenter....I think I might dismantle mine and run it in the dishwasher.
 
I do that every time I test and every brew day. The wine thief does sometimes contact the jar when I pull samples so I treat it as if it's going back into the beer even though I drink the sob.
