I just got a new regulator but there was no shutoff valve attached to it. I was hoping to bottle some beers for a get together tomorrow (via beer gun), is it necessary to have the shutoff valve at the regulator?
Cheers

No, it is just a convenience. You will have to use the tank shutoff. There is more delay as the reg. body is bled out when you use the tank valve, but it works just fine.
