I'm thinking of priming my Maple Dark Ale with Maple Syrup...any idea how much to use....my hope is to get some maple flavor to come through

9lb 2 row
.5lb carapils
.5lb Caravienne
.75lb chocolate malt

1oz Northern Brewer - 60min
1oz Cascade - 5 minute

12oz - Pure Maple Syrup - 10 minute

1056 - American Ale Yeast

Racked another 12oz maple syrup to secondary after the first week in fermentation

Thoughts?

grade B,is suppose to give more maple flavor.5.5 oz. for normal carbonation, depending how many voulumes you want, comparable to 4 oz corn sugar per 5 gallons. I think your best bet is what you did by adding it after initial fermentation.Honestlly from what ive read you have to use a boat load in a brew to really get it,...$$$$
