Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share the hop sock that I built from the Sanke dip tube that has been sitting around from my Keggle build. Started gathering parts, and then found out Lowes/Home Depot in the area don't carry all the pieces that I needed (plumbing). Thank you Ace Hardware!

I call it, the Sanke Sock!

Ace Hardware:

4 1/2" worm screw stainless clamp
4" PVC Sch 40 coupler

Lowes:

5 gallon nylon paint strainer
1" hole saw

Home:
Dip tube from Keggle build
Ball from valve for weight
Cotton string, 3" long for tying ball into bottom of hop sock (see last pic)

Super easy, took less that 10 minutes to put together, is a breeze to clean, and works very, very well at decreasing the amount of pellet hops that make it into the boil kettle. Life is good!

love it!

I am building hop spiders for me and my brew buddy right now. I will have to steal your idea of using the valve ball for weight...
