My second brew ever is ready for bottling now(thanks for all the excellent tips on here)! It is a nice simple coopers lager and may not have mixed the wort enough. It is very flavourless to taste or will this improve with age when bottled and primed etc. It looks like orange squash at the moment...

The wort will mix itself up pretty well, just from fermentation. Without knowing your recipe, though, I would say that if it looks like orange squash, it's no where near ready to bottle. Even if the SG is stable, it can sit and clear a little bit so that it looks and tastes like beer. If you can cool it down in the carboy, that will really help (if you are at the FG of the recipe).

How much malt is there? Did you add any sugar? It might taste flavorless because there just isn't much malt in there to taste.
