So I tried to save the yeast from my last batch following this(https://www.homebrewtalk.com/wiki/index.php/Yeast_washing). Well, things didn't work so well, first I let sit my big jar for 20 minutes but after that I couldn't see any separation of liquids, so I just left it in the fridge and left it for a day.

Now I see this, beer at top and one big layer of something down there... what should I do next? is that on the bottom yeast? or just junk?

There is a thread on cleaning your yeast. Most likely there is a lot of proteins and hop bits mixed in with the yeast.

I'd recommend decanting the liquid off the top and then adding previously boiled water to the jar (COOLED FIRST! :D) Then swirl everything up and let it sit for 30-60 minutes. You will see a darkish-grey band around the bottom. Decant and save the liquid off the top as this will be most of your good, healthy yeast. Get it even cleaner by letting it sit again. Otherwise seal it up, label it, and throw it in your fridge.
