Just bottled my first batch. After primary fermentation and secondary clearing, my batch was down to only 4 gallons (from 5). I worked hard to keep the trub out of my transfers, so I may have left too much good beer behind. Not noticing, I used the same amount of priming sugar the recipe called for--5 oz. I don't know enough yet to know whether I should fear bottle explosions. Will using the regular amount of priming sugar cause problems since I only bottled 4 gallons and not 5? Thoughts?

No worries at all. They will be a bit over carbed, but not to explosion. I have a batch that I did the same thing. Throw them in the fridge prior to opening and they won't even gush.
