Is it bad to have to much space in fermenter?

I purchased a 15gal container that my homebrew store gets its extract in. I cleaned it out and fit it with an airlock. Brewed a 10gal batch of stout and put it in. I have absolutely no movement in the airlock! I realize I have 5gal of space in the fermenter but I'm worried that the trapped gas might ruin the beer. Do I have anything to be worried about?

Should be fine, the air lock activity is not a great indicator of fermentation activity. O2 will be displaced by CO2 and you should be fine
