Quick Question About Mash Tun Size

I have a 48-quart rectangular Coleman cooler laying around that I was thinking of making into a mash tun. My question is: will this cooler be okay for 5-gallon batches, or will the grain bed be too thin?

I tried looking around the forum for this, but I couldn't find a straight answer.
 
I use a 48 quart rectangular and do 5 gallon batches batch sparging with no problem. If you're fly sparging you may have a problem.
