My Keezer Died!

I built my keezer in April using a 20yr old 5cu ft. chest freezer and last week the compressor died! On the bright side I guess I now have a good reason to build a bigger one. Just need to convince my wife that a bigger freezer is a good idea!

Sorry to hear it died, but looks like it might be an opportunity for expansion. I was just wondering today whether I should snag a 10-year-old chest freezer for $50 on CL or wait for a while and get a new one. I suppose if I got at least a year out of it then it would be worth it, unless it was an energy hog.
