Has anyone had experience with filtering cider? I'm going to give away a bunch of bottles of my still cider that's fermenting right now, and most people aren't as understanding when it comes to cloudy drinks as we here are. What I'd like to know is.......
-- any change in shelf life
-- change in taste/aroma
-- risk of spoilage during filtering with a coil-type wine filter

Thanks!

It should be crystal clear after enough time in the fermenter. Filtering will not change the flavor "much" if you use a wine set up, but unless you are just trying to get the yeast out (since you said still I don't see that being the case) then time will work better for you than filtering.
