Would a 6 gallon carbon be big enough for a 6 gallon batch? Or would I need something bigger?

You might want to get something bigger, or just make a 5 gallon batch.

Although if you fix a blowoff tube onto it, you'll lose a ton of your krausen but should make out alright.

Is it a true 6 gallon, or the 6.5 gallon acid carboy? The true 6 g will blow off a ton, but the acid carboy has more than enough headspace.

Just in case you are in the market for one, and don't already own.

It will just blow off into the over flow and just waste beer. Need to get a 6.5 gallon.
