My puppy pulled a rhizome out of the ground. The vine that was green was beyond saving. I found the rhizome in the yard, and it doesn't look like it was chewed. I just put it back in the ground. Is this thing going to grow again?

I vote yes. Hops seem to be pretty robust plants. Props to the puppy for his good taste in herbs. You should probably name your first brew with the hops after him.

Mine did the same thing, although he chewed it pretty good so I'm not holding my breath for that one to come back. Hard to be sore at him, though, since he passed away that same week after apparently getting into some anti-freeze in the neighbor's yard :( Watch your critters and your hops.

A friend's dog did the same thing last year. The rhizomes were replanted and all survived. Hops are tough plants - just hope for the best!
