I have a recipe for a harpoon IPA clone that calls for 4 oz "toasted" 2 row barley. I got the 4 oz two row barley but how long at 350*F in the oven will qualify it as "toasted?" Thanks in advance fellas, cant wait to brew this beer...

Last beer I did needed toasted 2-row..... I did 30 min. Thats what was called for in the recipe. If yours doesnt say I'd do like 20-30 min at 350F

Is roasted barley malted or unmalted? Or are there both types? Seemes to me they are different and can't really be interchaged in a recipe. Who knows for sure?
