I sampled my second batch today. I reached target final gravity and the beer tasted dry when I bottled. I used 1 3/8 cup of DME to prime. I stored the beer at ~72 degrees for two weeks and tried one today. I assumed it would not be completely ready yet, but was supprised when there was absolutely no gas escape when I opened the bottle. The bottle is a new grolsch style that had a great seal. A little sediment was in the bottom. It tastes good, but is completely flat.

It's a Porter: OG 1.071 FG 1.018.

Any suggestions?

Corn sugar for the win! I used DME once to carbonate..... it took 4 weeks to get a head on the brew..... This will be moot in about a month my fridge is coming in 3 weeks my next brew is going to be KEGGED! :rockin:
