Smoked Ales

I did my first smoked "blonde" ale using a blonde extract kit & using some smoked grains. It was delicious!! However my "blonde" turned into a brunette with the smoked grains...any thoughts on keeping it light colored with a great smokey flavor??
Any other smoked ale suggestions? Love that flavor! :mug:

The color of the grain dictates the color of the beer, so you just need to find a lighter-colored smoked malt. What smoked grain did you use last time? The Wyermann's looks fairly light in color compared to some others:

You can also use some of their cherry wood smoked malt.
