Just got my burner stands together and am curious what the optimum distance is from burner tip to the bottom of kettle. I'm using 10 tip Natural Gas jet burners rated at 75K BTU. Thanks for any help

depends how big the flame is.. if at the flow you're using, it is licking arround the bottom its too close. do a mock up with jack stands or something adjustable.

i have my 100k burner about 6" below the keggle, so when im at half throttle, the flame perfectly licks the entire bottom with no blow-by.
