I am looking to do a keezer project myself and there is a 9 cu ft kenmore on craigslist in town. I'm sure bigger is better but any thoughts on whether this would be big enough for 4-6 cornies and an occasional carboy?

It all depends on the interior dimension but I would think a 9 cu ft would fit at least 4 or 5. I have a 7 cu ft and without a collar it can fit 3 and a 2.5 gallon. With a collar I can fit 4.

9cu ft should be plenty for 4-6, especially with a collar. There is a thread on here somewhere that has sizing diagrams for just about every freezer model ever, so if you look around you can probably find pretty close to your model. My 7cf fits 5 and the co2 with a collar.

Here's the thread (sticky) hillhousesawdustco was talking about.

I have two 8.9cf Kenmore freezers and if I had a collar I could fit six. But I don't so they each hold four.
