Does RIMS 240V 1500 ulwd element run off 120 V have enough umph for step mashes (10 gal batches)?

a 1500W 240VAC element run on 120VAC would only be 375 Watts. I really don't think it could maintain temperatures, and definitely not raise temperatures.

Yeah that seems pretty small to me. I use 1500w 120v elements in my eHERMS and they're about right for my five gallon system. I think you'd be really disappointed with 1500w 240v running at 120v
 
Thanks - trying to find 1500w/120v incoloy that will fit in my rims tube. The one from Camco is a fold over and won't fit. Looks like I'll stick with the 1500/120 Ni/Cr. Thanks for the info!
