How long have you been able to keep your Traditional or Melomel Meads aging in a bottle and still be good? And what kind of closure did you use to keep it good for so long? Do you see a peak or perfection say at 3-5 years and then they drop off in flavor when they get to old?

I make a lot of elderberry, blackberry and black raspberry wines and expect them to age well over 10 years under corks or bottle caps but dont have any real experience in aging Traditional Meads and am interested to know how HBT meaders age over long time.
