So I brewed a Winter for this year that was 7.8% alcohol. it was delicious. i am letting it sit as long as possible (everyone wants to try it!!) so now i am looking for something with an ABV around 15-20% or even higher to brew this month and let sit for a year. any suggestions???

You're not going to get that high of an alcohol content in beer, at least not without it tasting really nasty and thin IMHO. However, BobbyM has a recipe for a barleywine that I'm planning on brewing very soon. It ended up at 13% for him.

Just brew a simple barleywine -> lots of Maris Otter and a boatload of hops. Let age in the fridge till next winter for a smooth brew.
You might want to consider a mead as well...

I tried the He'Brew Jewbilation 13th Anniversary Ale last night. 13 hops, 13 malts, 13% ABV. Very big flavors.. maybe you could find a clone of one of their past anniversary ales? Just a thought.

I'm getting ready to do this bad boy.
I have a half gallon starter that I got going last night waiting for sunday when I do my boil. It should end up around 15% I used WLP001 for yeast as it has a high alcohol tolerance.
