Here is my idea for my portable kegerator. 2 questions.
1) How long a beer line should i put in? I think 5 foot would be too much.
2) How do those little CO2 cartridges work? Should i stub out and get a
5# tank?

Any help would be much appreciated

Looks good so far. I have about 3 feet in mine and I did stub out with a bulkhead, but decided against it because I did not want someone to expend a whole cartridge or even mess with it. Out of sight out of mind. A couple of cartridges will dispense the keg just fine.

Here's how much ice is left after 24 hours.

You're gonna love it! Mine uses an Igloo cooler just like yours, and doubles as my sparge tank when brewing. I keep my co2 dispenser inside, too with no problems. And Ed's right- two cartridges are about right for one 3-gallon keg.
