I was asking some of my friends for new Ideas for a beer. One friend suggested a gooseberry beer. I did some research and decided for a Belgian Wit (Lambic was a close second)
Heres the recipe as it stands now, let me know what you think, I am new to formulating recipes so any help is welcome.
3 lb Muntons Wheat DME
2 lb Muntons Extra Light DME
.5 lb Cara-Pils Dextrine Malt
.5 lb White Wheat
.5 oz Hallertau Northern Brewer Hops (60 min)
.5 oz Hallertau Northern Brewer Hops (2 min)
.5 oz Corriander Seed (10 min)
.5 oz Sweet Orange Peel (10 min)
.5 oz Corriander Seed (2 min)
.5 oz Sweet Orange Peel (2 min)
White Labs Belgian Wit Ale Yeast WL400
1 lb (Frozen Pasturiezed) Gooseberries in secondary (Not really sure on the amout of gooseberries)
All Right Bring it on, what do you think?
