WTT Hop Rhizomes

I have Cascade, Willamette and Fuggles. I am looking for Centennial, CTZ, and Magnum.

Holy **** balls you have a lot of beer kegged. I'm jealous!

I have 2nd year CTZ and Cascade. Interested in Centennial and any other "C." what are the specifics on taking cuttings?

Sorry. I am not sure I understand your quesion. My Fuggle and Willamette Vines are 4 years old. My Cascades are 2 years old. I can dig them up and cut off a nice size Rhizome and trade for the above mentioned.

Are second year too soon to cut from? Can I cut any part of it?

Second year are okay, but third year is best. You want to cut a thick section of the root. You can even cut the shoots when the start to grow in the Spring and just stick them in the ground. Hops grow like weeds. Some of my root balls are several inches in diameter. The main roots are up to an inch in diameter. My Zeus went hermaphrodite !!!! So I ripped it all out!!

Still looking for Centennial Rhizomes. I have some pretty good sized Fuggles and Willamette Rhizomes to trade.

Would you sell an fuggle rhizome straight up if I pay shipping?

Sacdan, I got you a CTZ rhizome cut. I might get it in the mail tomorrow.

Recieved today. I am excited to get the plans going for some kind of trellis and getting them planted. Any pointers for a first timer?

Just make sure they get lots of sun. These things grow like weeds.

check out my hop trellis for ideas. 14 feet tall in center, 7 feet tall on sides and 20 feet square . 12 total ryzome hills started from 12 ryzomes

Sorry for the OT post, are you planting on both ends or do those grow over the center and all the way the the other end (downward on the second half)

Wow! Really? My cascade is up around 6". Zeus has barely broken ground.

The fuggle hasn't sprouted or done anything yet

I planted 4 sections worth 3 rhizomes each 2 feet apart. the first year I allowed 3 bines each plant. 2nd year 6.they grow straight up and I train them to spread out just a little

Oh, they grow from both sides and grow over but just a couple feet
