I've brewed a few Scottish Ales with Maris Otter and I liked the profile. I'm getting ready to brew 20 gallons of a Wee Heavy (15 Gallons into a bourbon barrel) and was looking into Golden Promise Malt. After reading the BJCP Guidelines Golden Promise seems it would make a Scottish beer more to style. Does anyone have any experience with GP vs. MO, and which way do you think I should go?
