Falcon Pot Pie

1. Get a Millenium Falcon shaped pan

2. Make a Star Destroyer brie for people to munch on while you cook

3. Line the pan with pie crust

4. Fill it with chicken pot pie filling

5. Cover it up

6. Make some totally half-assed R2D2 cupcakes for dessert

7. Fashion TIE fighters from brussel sprouts and potatoes

8. Use onions to form the windows on the cockpit and the satellite dish on the Falcon



Doing it shephard's pie style with mashed potatoes over the top would make the color more appropriate and let you sculpt details. But the basic idea worked okay for something hatched this morning when we discovered a friend had never seen any of the Star Wars movies and we had a cook a meal/watch a movie night already scheduled.

Building the Falcon-shaped tin was the hardest part. We found an oval tin and a few mini-bread-loaf tins, then used heat-resistant aluminum tape (thank you, auto parts store) to piece them together--we applied the tape only to outer surfaces, as I doubt it's food safe.

This is the epitomy of geeky coolness. You is a good friend to do all this.

Who is this person who has never seen ONE of the Star Wars films? Looks like someone needs to examine a little more closely who they choose as a friend!
