- Tasting Notes
- A typical Northwest X-Mas beer, this is basically a strong brown ale.
I wanted to try Palisade hops and so concocted this guy. There's a lot of earthy character from the EKGS, with a lot of spice from the Palisades and Cascades in the flavor. Complex beer. Very malty too. Aroma has a lot of bread and some caramel with a touch of chocolate malt and some earthy hops. Very full mouthfull with some alcohol evident. A strong but very clean bittering that lingers long. Finish is medium dry with a lot of toast and bitterness.
Quite happy with this one.
