So after reading a few post on here I think I screwed up... I thought I was reading the directions right!

I was making an ipa ( kit) I has it in the primary for 1 week then put it in the carboy and added hops right away.. The plan was to keep it in there for 2 -3 weeks before bottling!! Did I had the hops to soon and for to long??

No it's not ruined, though you'll likely lose some of your hop flavor/aroma due to off gasing since fermentation is likely not finished. Don't dry hop for longer tha 2 weeks though or you may get some grass like flavors.

Beer is not a binary beverage...it doesn't suddenly go from (0) OK to (1) Ruined.

It's a scale...so will it be as good as it could've been? No, but you learned something for next time and you'll still have drinkable beer. Pretty tough to "ruin" a beer.
