Aluminum Bottles?

I have a ton of Bud Lite's 75th anniversary Steeler bottles (w00t) and was thinking of using them to bottle my homebrew.

They aren't twist offs and they obviously house beer, but I wasn't sure if there would be an issue since it is being conditioned in the bottle as opposed to just shipping for consumption.

Its probably a dumb question, but I'd rather ask than have over half my batch taste like metal....or we all die of lead poisoning

Bigger issue is that aluminum bottles don't have that second ridge on the neck for a capper to grab onto.

Maybe a bench top capper would work.

If you have any doubt cap 3 or 4 with the rest regular bottles and see how they turn out. If they are all good reuse if not you didn't ruin a whole batch.

I heard that the aluminum bottles have a plastic lining.
