so im in the process of fermenting my new castle clone. this is the 3rd day of it being in the fermenting bucket and last night it bubbled so much my airlock became filled with beer, and this morning i woke up and the whole top was just sittin on the bucket, almost being held up by the amount of foam on top of the beer.:drunk:

what's the deal? this is prolly my 7th batch of beer and haven't had this happend yet!

thanks!

look up "blow off tube" it will save you a lot of mess.

Also, some people have been talking about the benefits of "fermacap"

For now, you can clean up, re sanitize your air lock, and maybe try to cool your carboy a little to slow your yeast down a bit.

Time to engineer a blowoff tube. If you have the three peice airlock, run a tube from the center post to a bucket full of sanitized water.

You should be fine
