I have never had mead until a friend gave me a 3 year old bottle.. it was very dry and bit like hard liquor. (was like drinking a shot) Is this right? or is it a bad bottle (he wasn't sure on it, he found it in a box with some other bottles when moving... he hasn't made a mead in 3 years so we know it is at least that old.
