I followed EdWort's recipe yesterday. The only pure apple juice I could find with no additives or preservatives listed on the label came from concentrate. I tried to avoid anything with preservatives as I've been told that can stall fermentation. Are there any drawbacks to using a juice that came from concentrate?
 
No, there are no drawbacks to using juice from concentrate. In fact, almost any apple juice you buy from the store including the Tree Top brand recommended by EdWort himself is from concentrate. Also, you are right to avoid preservatives generally - the only accetable preservative is ascorbic acid, which is found in most storebought juices.
