Hi all,

I've been lurking around here for awhile. great stuff. I have my first two batches going right now. My first was a red extract kit from my lhbs. I have a question about this red. I racked to a secondary a week and a half ago, and plan to bottle this weekend. When I racked, it tasted good and smelled good. I snuck a sample yesterday to take a reading. it smelled fine, but did have a slight bubbly, cider taste. The temp during primary was aroung 74, and during secondary and now is 68. There are tiny white bubbles on the surface. Is this the sign of a young beer, or is it a sign of having unfixable off-flavors? Thanks.

If you have some bubbles on the surface...might still be fermenting?

thanks for the quick replies. i was hoping that was the case. just having some newbie jitters. cheers :mug:
