I'm looking to make a kicked up wheat beer and am wondering if mixing wheat extract with gold malt extract would work out? I'm thinking about 6 lbs. Northern Brewer Wheat mixed with 3 lbs. Northern Brewer Gold extract and then hopping with some centennials (maybe .5 oz at 60 and 1 oz at 5 mins).

According to Brewer's Friend this combo would get me around 6% with about 30 IBU's. Any advice?

Wheat extract is usually about 35% wheat with the rest being barley malt as it is difficult to work with higher wheat percentages so if you wanted you could just use more wheat extract.
