Ran across this (and an apricot version) last night. I'd never heard of it, but I always associate "spontaneous fermentation" with lambics, and I like lambics. So, I gave it a whirl.

It's definitely got a healthy dose of the "horse blanket" character and tartness of a cherry lambic, but not as pronounced as say, Cantillion. It says ont he label that it has "cherry juice added", so I'm guessing that helps take some of the edge off of it. It's not quite as sweet as Lindemanns.....I'd put it somewhere in between the two.

It's really enjoyable, but at $5 a bottle, I probably won't be drinking a lot of it. Really interesting beer, esp. considering its British origin. I'm looking forward to trying the apricot next!
