Pretty much everybody loved this beer last year. It's sort of a Franziskaner clone with kiwi added to compliment the banana flavor from the yeast.

Franzis Scott Ki-Wheat

Grain bill*
6.75# White wheat
2#. Acid malt
1.25# Red wheat
1.25# Ger pils
.25# Aromatic

Mash ~152

1oz Hallertau @60
.25oz each Perle & Spalt @20

Wy3068 Weihenstephanen

4# peeled, cubes kiwis in secondary--rack to tertiary or bottle/keg once kiwis turn white

Gonna brew next month to get it ready for Spring Break :) Cheers!

*brewed originally as AHS PM clone kit, so this is converted from extract kit. I don't like a complicated grain bill, but this did produce a very popular beer :)

I always enjoy brewing up a nice witbier in the spring.

50% Pale malt
50% White Wheat (or flaked or whatever floats your boat)
1 ounce favorite hop (Saaz, Hallertau, EKG...)
.75 ounce orange peel (some use bitter dried. I use fresh zest)
.75 ounce Coriander, crushed
Clean ale yeast for a clean blue moon flavor. Belgian Wit yeast for a slightly funky Wit flavor.
