hops
1 oz Columbus 60 minutes
1 oz Columbus 10 minutes
.5 oz Columbus 5 minutes

yeast
safale s-04 dry yeast (a twist to the American stout)

EOG 1.064
EFG 1.017
ABV 6.3%
SRM 38
IBU 55.7

Two weeks primary, then 2 weeks secondary and then bottling time

:mug:

question here? is 1 oz of columbus for flavoring too much? havent brew it yet so I need some feedback

A: I s this a kit?
B: Do you have any brewing software?

Columbus is a VERY bitter hop.

a)its my receipe
b) the numbers i posted were using hopville

Im thinking of using 1.5 oz for bittering and the 1 oz at flameout

it will up the ibu to 58.8 as per hopville

So ended up using 1.25 colombus for bittering, .75 at 5 minutes and will dry hopped with .5 oz for 5 days. I transfered it to secondary during the weekend after 4 weeks in primary. Daughter, who have a better nose than me loved the smell, coffee chocolate and some citrusy smell. Using secondary because being busy and dont know when will bottle. Actual OG was 1.066 and FG was 1.019. It started bubbling just a bit aftrer transfered so I'll take another reading before bottling.
