My buddy and I brewed a Nut Brown Ale using Premiant, and really liked the flavor. But now NB is out, and we need a replacement. Is Glacier a good replacement? Has anyone tried Simcoe or Mt. Hood in a brown ale (amount reduced for the higher AA's)? Thanks for your help.

Never used permient. I have used northern brewer, north down, brambling cross, hallertau hersbrucker and/or mittlefreu, goldings, tradition, tettnanger and fuggles. All of these were great. I may be biased cuz I love hops.

Good luck!

Haven't tried it, but Mt. Hood should work in a Brown. Premiant is a Saaz cross, higher AA, little lower flavor/aroma.
