Brewing a couple of batches on Sunday. I'm hoping to come close to Lil' Sparky's Nut Brown and BierMuncher's Swimbo Slayer. Here's the recipes:

On the first, I substituted the Light Extract for Amber.

Here's my question; I plan to add the extract at the end of the boil for each batch. Do I need to adjust my hop additions because I'm adding the extract at the end of the boil? If so, by what amounts?

Thanks in advance.:mug:

I didn't run it through my software, but what are the targeted IBUs? That can help you decide on the hopping. Just glancing ok
it looks at to me, but you have to consider your boil size and the IBUs.

haha- can you tell I've been drinking tonight? I sound like Yoda!

If you want to let me know your boil size, I can run it through Beersmith if you don't have it and figure your IBUs!

Ah- if you're doing a full boil, then you don't have to adjust any hops. Just use the correct amount for the AG version, and the targeted IBUs.

Good luck with the recipes- and make sure you let us know how it turns out!

Incidently, you don't have to add the extract late when you do a full boil. Just like in AG brewing, the wort will be at the correct SG during the boil with all the extracts added.
