Just curious cause i cant figure out how to get the SG on hopville but,,,

if i used 4 gallons of apple juice and 1 pound of corn sugar and 1 pound of brown sugar what would my SG be around... can any smart peeps lend a hand?

Take the total grams of the sugar from the juice and sugar packages. Divide by the amount of total liquid in liters. 10g/L is 1 BRIX.

When you are using "Beer Calculus" on Hopville, They have the Apple cider and Juice valued as such that when you tell the program you are using 1 pound of cider it is equal to 1 gallon of cider at 1.050 S.G.
Very handy in estimating new recipes. I used it for a batch of graff I made a couple weeks ago and the SG was right on.
