Replacing auto siphon tubing

I need to replace the tubing on my auto siphon but I do not have a Homebrew shop close to me, is there any other type of tubing that I can buy at any other store? Can I use generic plastic tubing from a hardware store, or will that give my beer a plastic taste?

Anyone? I could really use some advice as I need to rack my pumpkin beer this weekend!

I use just tubing from the hardware store without any issues. The beer is just passing through it's not in contact with the tubing for any length of time.

yeah I've used the tubing from the HW store. It was in the plumbing section I think it is the same sort of plastic that is used for some icemakers.
