The air conditioning here is acting up and it's now around 80 degrees inside. It's really annoying since I have a stout in primary and even using swamp cooling I can't keep it under 73 degrees.

It worked great before the AC decided to be a b*tch

That sucks! At least with a stout the fruity esters will be much less noticeable. Sometimes they even work well. I had a 1.06x oatmeal stout that fermented a little warm and it actually added a nice subtle flavour that went really well with the oatmeal.

Lots easier to warm a fermenter than keep it cool.

I put the Brown Porter in the former kegger fridge on Saturday. Just in time for a cold (37F this morning) snap! I have a small power supply from an external hard drive that I'll probably install today as a heater. Has a built-in fan and I'll run the cable out to the Ranco. If I need more heat, I'll put an old drive in it, that's good for another 25 watts.
