Active fermentation JUST Started, Can i add water?

5g extract partial boil. IIPA. 9.5oz of citra(leaf and pellet)
I wanted to up my OG on this one. 5g calc put me at 1.076. I shorted on the top up water and got 1.095 OG. Seems really high for the style, and I don't want fire.
est FG 1.018-1.020
Boiled yest night. Active ferm today going strong. Can I add water now while active?

I topped up, but only to, about, 4.25g. Not my first rodeo, however I am still learning alot.
I was looking to bump the OG...Didn't need to.
